Dr. Mahmood gave a talk on ultrasound training in anaesthesia at the European Anaesthesiology Congress (Euroanaesthesia) on June 3-5, 2017 at Geneva, Switzerland.
At the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA) 2017 Echo Week on May 21-26, 2017 at Atlanta, GA, Dr. Mahmood was appointed as a course director, involved in leading reviews and conducting mock examinations on clinical applications of 3D echocardiography along with image creation and hemodynamics.
Congratulations to the Valve Research Team for presenting their research at the 6th annual HMS Surgery Research Day. Special shoutout to Maria Saraf for being one of 16 people who had podium presentations and for receiving the 'Excellence in Surgery Research' award! The rest of the team presented their posters during the poster session.
Maria Saraf presented a poster on her research project titled, “Comparing Early Cellular Changes In The Myocardium And Skeletal Muscle In A Swine Model Of Metabolic Syndrome” at the Annual International Anesthesia Research Society Meeting (IARS) on May 6-9 at Washington, DC. Good job!
Dr. Mahmood was invited to speak in the Educational Activities Board (EBA) Program Panel titled “The Science of Assessment of Clinical Performance” at the Association of University Anesthesiologists (AUA) 64th Annual Meeting on May 4-5, 2017 at Washington, DC.
Congratulations to Maria Saraf for being selected to present her research titled, “Decreased Myocardial Recovery Due To Oxidative Stress in Diabetics: Alterations in MAPK Pathway and PGC-1α” at the Research Assistant Learning Initiative (RALI) Mini-Grand Rounds at BIDMC. Keep up the good work!
